I ALWAYS SAID THAT I WOULD MAKE MISTAKES, i'm only human, and that's my saving grace * I FALL AS HARD AS I TRY, SO DON'T BE BLINDED- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Anna hummed to herself as she cleaned up the kitchen. Kaze had gone off to work yet again, and she was just cleaning up after breakfast. Kami was due to come over at any time, and Anna wanted to make sure that the house didn’t look like a bomb had gone off. Once the kitchen was cleaned, she moved over to the living room. She straightened up the pillows and refolded the throw that had been tossed on the back of the couch. Once that was done, she grabbed a few loose toys and put them into the wooden toy chest that was near the large windows. She straightened up the blinds, opening them up to allow more light in. It was a typical Saturday morning, with Kaze off to work and Anna around the house with the kids. She didn’t have much planned, she knew that Kami was bringing Zack and Emily’s presents over, from their birthdays that was last month. Anna didn’t care that he was bringing the presents late, and she knew that the kids wouldn’t mind either. They had probably already forgotten that Kami was supposed to give them anything anyways. Either way, Anna had always made sure to raise her kids so that they don’t expect presents – but it was a tricky thing to do. Especially with Kaze telling the kids that presents were awesome.
Emily caught onto the whole idea and she was very polite about it. But Zack on the other hand… he couldn’t hide his disappointment as easily. Either way, Anna hadn’t even told the kids that Kami was coming over today. She would rather see their surprised little faces when they saw their uncle walk through the door. Anna smiled at the thought, straightening the blinds absentmindedly. They loved seeing their uncle Kami, it meant that they were going to have a fun night. They also liked seeing his kids too, and Anna liked that all of the kids got along. She had offered to baby-sit Kami’s kids on Tuesday and Thursday nights so that he could have a bit more of a life to himself. It was what she had wanted to do; since he babysat Emily and Zack every Friday night when Anna and Kaze went out on their date night. Anna pushed those thoughts aside; she wasn’t going to think about Kaze right now. Once the living room was all straightened out, she turned her attention to the downstairs bathroom. She put the toys away in the little wooden chest in there, the kids liked to use toys while they took a bath, but nobody enjoyed putting them away when the bath was over. Anna was just as bad as her kids; when she was tired she couldn’t be bothered to put the toys away.
Once the bathroom was all straightened out, she headed upstairs to her bedroom. She had to change, into cleaner clothes. Doing the cleaning tended to get her clothes dirty, although she had no idea why. She thought that she was careful while she cleaned, but clearly she wasn’t as careful as she thought. No matter, Anna had so many clothes she could change her outfit multiple times daily. She didn’t, and she didn’t really care about how many clothes she had. She had bought most of the clothes when she had first moved out of her parents house. She had rebelled a bit, and getting her own pay checks with a small rent on her apartment, made it easy to spend money on her clothing. She had gotten a bit carried away, she would admit that much, but she still fit into the same clothes. She had bought more generic clothes than anything, clothes that would last and stay in fashion for quite a while. So even though she had a bunch of clothes, too many for herself alone, she did wear them for quite a while. She hasn’t been shopping for more clothes in quite a while and she didn’t have any plans to. She would be spending money that she didn’t have, not at this moment in time. She had to wait until she started working as a cook before she could spend more money.
Anna was under the belief that she would spend the money that she made on frivolous things like clothes and make-up, not spending the money that Kaze made. She wasn’t that type of wife, she would spend what she earned, not what her husband earned. She had never been like that and she wouldn’t ever change. No she is just finishing up with her training and then she will be able to work as a cook at one of the local restaurants. She wanted to live out her dream as a cook, and she wanted to make her own income. She had to put everything on hold when she had been kidnapped a few years ago, but she was slowly rebuilding her life. Changing into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, Anna quickly ran her fingers through her hair and twisted it up into a ponytail. When she was cleaning up the house she normally kept her hair up in a ponytail, which is why she kept it up still. She wasn’t going to dress up too much for Kami… she was her husband’s brother. She liked him like a brother that she had never had. Her older brother, Tyler hadn’t been the best brother that Anna could have had. But Kami was always there for them, and she felt like he didn’t mind spending time with her, unlike Tyler who couldn’t stand being in the same room as her.
Hearing the doorbell chime, Anna smiled and walked out of her room – closing the bedroom door behind herself. She saw Emily and Zack bolt out of their rooms, and heading down the stairs. Anna followed right behind them, having to walk a bit quicker to keep up with her bounding, energetic kids. They had gone off to the park this morning, Anna had wanted to get them a bit more tired. They always got more excited on a weekend, and without school to tire them out, Anna had to be creative. After they had gone to the park, the kids had disappeared off into their rooms, not liking to be around when their mom is cleaning up. Her kids hate cleaning up just as much as she does. “Come in!” Anna called as she stopped in the hallway that led to the front door. Emily and Zack tag teamed the door and managed to get it open. Anna folded her arms and laughed as Emily and Zack quickly raced over and hugged Kami’s legs. They each took a leg, hugging him for a second and then backing up. ‘We didn’t know that you were coming over today!’ Emily said, shooting a look back at her mom. Anna laughed, unfolding her arms and turning her open palms up, shrugging as if she had no idea that Kami was going to be stopping by.
“Hey Kami.” Anna smiled. She looked down at her kids. “Alright guys, let’s let Kami come in…” She was about to pull them back, but they got the hint and walked off. They headed into the living room and Zack turned around before disappearing completely. “Come in here uncle Kami.” Anna rolled her eyes with a smile, looking over at Kami. “We might as well head in there first.” She smiled, and closed the door behind Kami and his kids. She then walked into the living room and looked over at Emily and Zack. They had sat down on the couch, looking super excited. Anna smiled and then looked over at Kami. “Do you want something to drink?” She hoped that he would hang around for lunch, if he could. Anna would make sandwiches for everyone. It would be nice to have Kami around, especially since Kaze was gone. It was rather lonely when Kaze was working on a Saturday because he was usually gone all day long. Yeah Anna had her kids here, but she liked to talk to adults too. She was procrastinating of course, because there was lots of school work that she had to get done. She wanted a break though, and since she hadn’t been doing anything except taking care of the kids and working on school work, she wanted a break.

Post by PVT. KAMI EVANS on Jun 23, 2012 18:50:43 GMT -5
It was just a few days ago that Kami managed to get online and talk to Anna. Things were said – or well, typed, that seemed to have made Anna feel better. Kami knew that their relationship wasn't real good and Kami was the middleman and saw both sides of the story. He knew that given some times and persistence, Kaze and Anna would get back to the way things were somewhat better. Today was the day that he promised Anna that he would come on over to visit her children and give her kids their presents. Kami was rich for a moment, but the funeral drained him out of money. Nonetheless, Kami spent his hard-earned money on Anna's kids. He was an uncle and he loved them dearly, so it was alright. He got little Emily an Easy Bake oven and he got big Zack his old N64 with Donkey Kong, Mario, and Bomberman. The presents were big enough to be shared so it was as if they both got two presents. Or so he hoped. Kami didn't really know what little kids that age liked, so he hoped it all worked out. And that they liked it. If not, Kami would just save it for his little boys when they got older.
Wrapping the presents and taping the cards on the presents, Kami went to get Jake and Noah ready. He did not have a babysitter nor could leave them alone so he was going to take them with him. He hoped that they wouldn't cause too much of a ruckus. Changing the babies and putting clean clothes on, Kami picked them both up and walked on outside. Opening the car, Kami put the babies in the backseat baby-chairs and went back inside to get their diaper bag and Zack and Emily's presents. Grabbing the stuff, Kami walked to his Jeep and put the stuff in the front seat. Getting inside, Kai started the car and backed out. Staring at his house for a moment, Kami sighed before heading over to Kaze's. His brother was at work, he knew that, and would probably be spending it over-time and double-shifts like he usually did. It was sad that he might not see his brother, but oh well... Next time he'd see him.
Arriving at her home, Kami parked out in front and cut the engine off. “We're here!” He called out, even though the babies probably didn't understand him either or. Getting out of the car, Kami un-buckled the babies and picked them up. Carrying them to the front of the house with one baby in each arm, Kami managed to push the doorbell with his elbow. It didn't take long for the door to open up before him. Before Kami knew it, he had another set of twins clinging onto his legs. The man couldn't help but to smile a bit before laughing softly. “Well, hello to you two! Miss me?” He smiled a bit. He wanted to walk with the kids on his legs but with two babies on his arms, he decided against it. He didn't want to lose balance and drop a baby or anything. There goes him taking precaution.
When Anna made her appearance, Kami smiled a bit at her, “Hey right back.” When the kids let go, Kami walked inside with his two little monsters of his own in his arms still. With a little smile, Kami walked to the living room and places his kids on the couch, “Can you watch them? I forgot something in the car.” Quickly, the man got up, opened the door, and returned outside. It was there that he opened the door to his car and got two bags before closing it and returning back inside. Closing the house door, Kami put the bags down but stood before them, “Zack? Emily? I know I've been a horrible uncle and missed your birthday, but I got your belated presents here with me now.” With a pause, Kami took a step aside and went to sit down next to his babies; keeping an eye on them, “Blue bag is for you Zack. The pink one is yours, Emily. Hope you like them.”

I ALWAYS SAID THAT I WOULD MAKE MISTAKES, i'm only human, and that's my saving grace * I FALL AS HARD AS I TRY, SO DON'T BE BLINDED- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Anna had talked with Kami earlier in the day – online. She often talked to him while she was doing her school work, or she would often sign onto her instant messaging service online when she was supposed to be doing her school work. It was a part of her procrastination, when her work got to be too much or just too boring she needed some entertainment. She was able to talk with a lot of people that she couldn’t see on a day to day basis – which worked for her. Anna used to be the biggest social butterfly, but after getting kidnapped away to Mexico – her life was sort of flipped upside down. She stopped talking to a lot of her friends – hell she stopped talking to her own husband for a while. She had lost herself, and it had taken her a while to get her bearings back and to start acting like herself again. It had taken a while, yes and she probably could have done it differently – but she was almost back to normal now. It was a shame that her relationship with Kaze wasn’t back to normal yet, but she knew that she had to be patient with him. She couldn’t expect him to just accept her over night – but on the other hand she was starting to get worried that he didn’t even love her anymore.
Pushing all of those heavy and dreary thoughts to the side, Anna got up and went to the front door when she saw Emily and Zack racing over there, after hearing the door bell ring. She knew that it was Kami, since she wasn’t expecting anyone else at the door. Back when she had just returned home, after being kidnapped the door bell ringing would have sent her over the edge – into a headlong panic. But she was getting better now, and her mind didn’t jump to the worst conclusion. Not right away anyways. Either way she was walking up behind Emily and Zack and she could see Kami was standing on the other side of the door. Anna smiled as Emily opened up the door – and as soon as her kids realized who it was, they launched themselves at Kami’s legs. “Sorry Kami.” She said softly and apologetically, walking forward to pull her kids off of his legs. “Emily and Zack – let’s let Kami walk into the house…” She said with a smile, her brown eyes lowering to her twins. She got them off of Kami – and he was then able to walk in, with his twins in his arms. Anna smiled at the babies, wanting to reach over and pinch their little chubby cheeks. Instead she stepped aside so that Kami could put them down where he wanted. ‘Hey right back.’
Anna followed him into the living room, watching as he put the babies down on the couch. ‘Can you watch them? I forgot something in the car.’ Anna smiled, “Yeah definitely.” She knew what he had to get out of the car – this was what they had talked about online. Kami was bringing over her twin’s birthday presents, something that he did on their birthdays. Yes he was a bit late this year, but Anna didn’t mind and she knew that her twins didn’t mind either. They had had a fun day for their birthday – doing a few special things here and there. It had been nice because Kaze had taken the day off work, so they had been able to spend time with their dad, which they loved doing. Anna knew that it would be different if she was the one who was always away, but since they saw her all the time they didn’t get a chance to miss her like they missed their father. Anna wasn’t going to complain about how long Kaze was away for, but there was days when she caught herself wishing that he was here and not there. She had a feeling that they could patch up their relationship much… quicker if he wasn’t always away and working. But she wouldn’t bring it up to him, because she didn’t want to stress him out. She knew that he was doing the best that he could for his family, and she appreciated it.
‘Zack? Emily? I know I’ve been a horrible uncle and missed your birthday, but I got your belated presents here with me now. Blue bag is for you Zack. The pink one is yours, Emily. Hope you like them.’ Anna smiled, sitting down on the arm of the couch as Emily and Zack walked forwards and took their right bags. They put the bags on the coffee table and pulled out their presents right then and there – not even bothering to tell Kami that it was okay. Anna smiled, shaking her head with amusement. The twins were definitely excited about what their presents were. “Look at that Emily – you got your own little oven!” She grinned, watching as Emily figured out what Anna was saying. She squealed and hugged the cardboard box, holding her new oven. She then ran over to Kami and hugged his leg. “Thank you so much uncle Kami!” Emily giggled, releasing her uncle’s leg and rushing back to the oven. She tried to open it, but Anna could see that she was struggling so she got up and helped Emily out, pulling the oven carefully out of the box. Anna looked over at Zack as he pulled out his present, after watching his sister with hers. His eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when he realized that he had a N64 with some video games with it.
“Look at that Zack – that’s your own game box, just like daddy’s!” Anna smiled as she spoke at Zack, referring to Kaze’s PS3. Anna smiled, watching as Zack’s face split into a grin. She then tilted her head towards Kami, and Zack got the hint: getting up and walking over to his uncle to give him a hug. “Thank you uncle Kami!” Zack said, and then he walked back over to the game console to pull it out of the box. Anna smiled up at Kami. “Thank you so much Kami.” She truly meant it, because she knew that he didn’t have to do this. He didn’t have to give such big gifts, her kids were taught to accept anything for their presents, because Anna wasn’t going to raise spoiled brats. “Did you want something to drink?” Anna asked Kami, looking over at him. She hoped that he would hang around – the kids would enjoy his company. Anna would make sandwiches for him if he wanted… It was nice to have someone coming over as a guest. Especially when she got along with him so well. She knew that her twins would be busy with their toys, but she could look after his. She had no idea what his plans were for the day. “I can make us some sandwiches for lunch, if you have the time…” It was noonish now, and Anna was hungry.
